Big Mike's didn't begin with a business plan. It began with a secondhand espresso machine, a kitchen table, and a conviction that Newland deserved a place where coffee was taken seriously — but never pretentiously.
Over the years, that kitchen table became a counter, and the counter became this: a corner spot on Pineola St where regulars know your name and your order before you sit down.
We source beans from roasters who treat their craft like a craft, not a commodity. We bake in small batches. We hire people who genuinely like talking to you. It's not complicated — it's just how we've always done it.
